ZOHAIB ISHAQ, 2012
Emigrating to the United States as a teenager from Pakistan, Zohaib Ishaq and his
family settled in the Cecilton region of Cecil County. Opportunities abounded as
he took full advantage of his education, excelling in the classroom while learning
a new language. He attended Cecil College and transferred to earn a Bachelor of
Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Maryland
Baltimore and Master of Public Health degree from Benedictine University. Ishaq
worked at Johns Hopkins Medical Center before his commission into the United
States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (USPHS CC) at the rank of
Lieutenant Junior Grade and is now a Lieutenant Commander. The United States
Public Health Service is one of the eight “uniformed services” that includes the
Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard, and National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Aside from his work with the FDA, he is a Deputy Team Lead for the U.S.
Surgeon General’s education team for the Philadelphia Region, reaching out to
organizations and communities on issues such as mental health, drug addiction,
and food safety.

EMILY ANNAND, 2020
Emily Annand graduated from the
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
program with an Associate of Applied
Science degree from Cecil College in
2020. Post-graduation, she passed the
National Physical Therapy Exam and
obtained her license as a PTA in the
state of Delaware.
Emily’s first treating position was at ATI
Physical Therapy in November 2020.
Since that time, she has become a
clinical instructor, teaching her first PTA
student in January 2024.
Ms. Annand also recently became the
lead clinician in the Wilmington region
for ATI’s Work Conditioning/Work
Hardening Program. She continues
her education by attending gross
anatomy labs hosted by the University
of Delaware. Due to her extensive
background in coaching competitive
gymnastics, she is the go-to clinician
for local gymnasts, cheerleaders, and
dancers.
