Cecil College is dedicated to preparing students with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on

science. We are proud that our programs regularly pass rigorous accreditation processes to
assure our students a competitive education. Several academic programs recently received
or renewed prestigious accreditations. These accreditations reinforce our reputation for
excellence in health, technology, and beyond.
The College’s re-accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing
(ACEN) for its Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program, affirms that the program
consistently upholds the highest standards in nursing education. The Nursing program
resides at the heart of the College’s Health, Human, and Business Sciences Department,
which includes health care programs in nursing, physical therapist assistant, emergency
medical technician, medical administrative assistant, medical assistant, medicine aide,
nursing assistant/GNA, paramedic, phlebotomist, and physician professional coder.
Cecil’s ACEN accreditation was renewed in May 2024, consisting of a peer-review process
that evaluates programs against rigorous criteria to ensure quality and relevance in nursing
practice. This reaccreditation, valid through the fall of 2031, underscores our College
commitment to ensuring graduates are prepared for the NCLEX-RN exam and a nursing
career.
The Medical Assistant Program (MAP) undergoes an annual review and on-site visits every
3-5 years. This review ensures that students receive an education that equips them to sit for
