Stained Glass Studio
Beginning students will learn the history and
techniques of glass cutting, soldering, and
copper foiling. Advanced students will create
and work on more intricate projects. Notes:
Supply list will be given to beginning students
at the first class. Advanced students will be
responsible for their own glass, etc. for projects.

Art Appreciation
This course introduces the visual arts and
elevates cultural enrichment and personal
growth. The course begins with an inquiry
into the meaning of art and the role of art in
society and continues with an examination art’s
formal qualities. Students learn how to think
critically about art through the application of
visual principles. A global perspective of art
history is presented and contemporary issues
in art are investigated. Topics include themes
in art, art conservation, identifiers as pathways
to research, visual elements, design principles,
meaning and interpretation, artistic processes,
and global perspective of art history. Notes:

Drawing Basics
Study great drawings and learn techniques
to create still life, landscapes and figurative
portraits. Classes will explore pencil, charcoal,
and ink. We will focus on perspective, value,
and creating expressive and eye-catching
drawings. Beginners to advanced artists

Learn to “see” like an artist. Improve your
perceptional skills as you learn to translate
a three-dimensional world onto the twodimensional plane. Through a series of drawing

Sharpen your powers of visual observation.
A studio course designed to teach basic
drawing methods, how tools are best used,
and exploring conceptual ideas of imagemaking. Composition, perspective, toning, and
